Wahoo! I’ve been wanting to post this for a while now. Here is the time lapse video of my Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Chalk Mural that I made for Nintendo at San Diego Comic Con back in July. I had a wonderful time at the show, and I thought the piece turned out great! Crowd response was really positive, and I had been just itching to get the time lapse posted, but of course there was an approval process to go through first.
So here it is, 34 hours of work over 5 separate days, started on the East Coast and Ended on the West Coast, all shown in 4 minutes and 23 seconds. I like how you are able to see how the color-changing lights around me kept shifting and messing with my perception of color. In the end it didn’t hurt the piece at all, and this is one of my favorites. So enjoy the time lapse and let me know what you think!
Wow… it’s simply beautiful. The amount of dedication and effort you put into it must have been phenomenal. And yes, it would have been horrific working under those lighting conditions.
The background colours are just so vibrant and harmonious, somehow, and I especially love how you rendered the sky and the grass.
This is something I wanted to ask, though… What exactly do you do with the chalk murals after you finish? How do you preserve them?
…Because I want this! May I keep it?
Thank you so much, and I look forward to more of your art!
